Age in days
Calendar age moves forward when the day of the month comes around again. In a common year, a February 29 birthday completes the year on February 28.
How it works
Elapsed days are the civil-date difference, including leap days that actually occurred. It is not age times 365. From 1 January 2000 to 4 November 2026 is 9804 days.
Months follow the anniversary. Someone born on 31 January completes a month on 28 February in a common year. The page does not pretend every month has 30 days.
Questions
Why not 365.25?
Because a birthday is not an average. 365.25 is a rough size. Age is a date.
What about a future birth date?
The tool does not return a negative age.
Is today a zero?
If today is the birthday, days remaining are zero and the year count includes today.
